description
In this system, it is possible to implement the law of validity and momentum in the field of mechanics.
A spherical is fired into a ballistic pendulum, the pendulum and spherical move circularly around a fixed axis. The maximum point of height to which the pendulum will reach is marked.
From calculations of linear momentum conservation and energy conversion, it is possible to calculate the velocity of the projectile before it hits and is absorbed by the pendulum.
Another experiment in horizontal throwing, when the sphere is fired horizontally, and the pendulum is removed from its orbit, allows using kinematic connections to calculate the velocity of the projectile as it leaves the barrel.
Comparing the two results is an interesting thought exercise.
