description
In this facility, two properties of hydrostatic pressure in a liquid can be demonstrated: one – the hydrostatic pressure in the liquid depends on the depth of the measuring point below the level of the liquid surface; Second, the pressure in the fluid acts with equal intensity in all directions ( Pascal's law).
A balloon is attached to the bottom of the device, on one side, and on the other side the tube. Dip the dispenser in liquid (preferably water), fix it to the wall of the vessel, and fill the tube, and through it the balloon with water, until the water level in the tube is the same as the water level in the vessel, and the balloon is also full.
When the device is raised and lowered to the depth of the water, the water level in the tube will decrease and rise and equal to the level of water in the vessel.
You can rotate the bottom of the installation using the pulley at the other end, and see that the pressure at the measuring point is equal in all directions around the measuring point.
