description

We will fill the different vessels with water to the same level, and check the amount of stress (weight) loaded on the bottom of the vessel.

Although the volume of water, at the same level level, is different for each vessel, the stress is the same.

Since the surface area of the bottom of the vessel does not change, it turns out that thepressure on the bottom of the vessel, in each case, is equal, regardless of the mass of water in the vessel.

From this we can conclude that the hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of a vessel, filled with a certain liquid, is generated only depending on the height of the water column above the bottom.
