description
Place the installation on the base of the vacuum bell. Using the screw, balance the horizontal rod, yes there is an equilibrium between the two bodies. On the large ball and on the small nut, lift forces act because they are "immersed" in the air. On the large sphere, a lift force acts as much as the weight of air in its volume, and it is much greater than the lift force acting on the nation.
Place the bell of a base. Connect to an empty pump, suck the air out, and the ball will drop. It turns out that the equilibrium has been disturbed and the actual weight of the ball is greater than that measured in the air.
