The installation has a set of three pairs of strings, of three different lengths. At the end of each string is the same weight.

The different self-frequency of the different strings is determined in this installation by their length (the mass at the ends is the same).

Moving one string will shake only its partner, who has the same self-frequency.

This is an illustration of the phenomenon of resonance.
